Tolepainting Surfaces

The surfaces tolepainters will paint on are unlimited. Below are some examples on wood, glass and tin. Unpainted items are on the left and the finished pieces, after an artist has given them life, are on the right.

   

Left: This is an unpainted wooden tavern (sign) board.

Right: The same board after it has been painted in a country garden style.

   

Left: An unpainted glass lantern.

Right: The same lantern with a lighthouse painted on it (acrylic paints).
